Privacy Policy

Floored is currently operated by Floored. A company is in the process of being formed, and once it is established it will assume operation of, and full responsibility for, the Floored app, including responsibility for your information under this policy.
Floored is built to collect as little about you as possible. There are no ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites or sell your data.
What we collect
- An anonymous device identifier, generated on your device and stored in its Keychain, so you can use the app without signing up.
- Sign in with Apple (optional): if offered and you use it, we receive an opaque Apple identifier only, we do not receive or store your name or email.
- Usage events: simple counters (e.g., screens reached, rounds played) to understand how the app is used. No advertising identifiers, no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
- Crash diagnostics: if the app crashes, your device's diagnostics (crash type, signal, an anonymised call stack, and your OS/device/app version) are sent to us so we can fix stability problems. These contain no personal content.
- Content you publish: the pose data (motion, not camera video) of routines you choose to publish; a clip, either a silent computer-drawn skeleton animation or, if you choose the "video" style, your own silent recorded clip (video only, no sound); any TikTok/YouTube link you choose to claim; and your chosen display name.
- Purchases: if you buy Plus or a Party Pass, Apple processes the payment and we receive your purchase/subscription status, never your card details.
- An anti-abuse device signal (Apple DeviceCheck), used only to enforce our rules against repeat copyright infringers and abuse. It cannot identify you personally.
What stays on your device
- Camera and live pose: camera frames and your live pose are processed on your device to score you, and the live camera feed is never uploaded. The only video that leaves your device is a clip you deliberately choose to publish with the "video" style (see "Content you publish" above).
- Your own music: music you bring yourself plays locally and is never uploaded to us.
- Microphone: used only briefly, on your device, to sync music to a TV when casting. It is not recorded or uploaded.
How information is shared
- Routines you publish are public, including the pose data, the clip, and your chosen display name, other people can view, dance, and compete with them.
- Embedded TikTok/YouTube videos are served by those platforms under their own privacy policies.
- We rely on service providers that operate the app on our behalf, Apple (sign-in, app distribution, payments) and our hosting and storage providers. We do not sell personal data.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account and published content until you delete it. You can delete everything yourself, at any time, from inside the app: open the app, tap the ⓘ button, then "Delete account", this permanently removes your account and the content you published. Ephemeral data, such as temporary files used for casting, is short-lived. You can also report or block other users from the menu on any routine.
Children
Floored is rated 13+ and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to certain processing. The in-app "Delete account" flow handles deletion; for anything else, contact us.
